For the first time in Colombia’s history, the government of has offered a public apology over the extrajudicial killing of a 15-year-old boy, during the country's civil conflict.
Colombian soldiers killed more than 6,000 civilians, passing them off as rebels, to increase the combatant death toll, which in turn gave them financial bonuses.
Thousands of other victims are still expecting justice.
