Recent clashes between anti-government protesters and Cali police have seen at least 58 people lose their lives, and drug gangs run rife.

The nationwide protests began on the 28th of April over proposed tax increases, which the government said were needed to pay for costs caused by the pandemic.

They’ve since developed into regular protests about social inequality.

Sky News' Chief Correspondent Stuart Ramsay reports.
