Hundreds of mourners gathered to pay their final respects on Monday to the Moroccan boy who died on Feb. 5 after a failed rescue operation that lasted several days.
Five-year-old Rayan Awram fell into a well in Ighran village on Feb. 1. His body was finally pulled out late on Saturday after rescuers dug a second adjacent tunnel to try and reach him.
"We're in pain from this horrific catastrophe. But this is God's will, he gives what he gives and takes what he takes," said mourner Ibrahim Tamarout.
