Moderna is now seeking Health Canada's approval to use the company's COVID-19 vaccine in children between six months and five years of age.
Moderna is the first vaccine maker to ask Health Canada to authorize a low dose of its Spikevax for the age group, who have not until now been eligible for any of the vaccines. Infectious disease doctors are delighted at the move because kids are still at risk in the current wave of COVID-19.
