Migrants: 'No recourse to public funds' policy ruled unlawful, for the fifth time

One of the government's so-called “hostile environment” policies - designed to make staying in the UK difficult for those without leave to remain - has been ruled unlawful, for the fifth time.

The policy, known as "no recourse to public funds", is attached to visas for around 1.5m people - preventing them from accessing state support such as universal credit.
