Mexican folk dancers and village bands marked five centuries of Indigenous resistance, dancing and performing through areas of Mexico City. The Chinelos dancers are a tribute to when Indigenous people mocked European colonizers by dancing and dressing up like them in long garb and beards. Huehuenches, on the other hand, appear in worn-out clothes, representing Indigenous people.
