Captain Aja L. Kirksey, commander of Coast Guard Sector Honolulu, will provide an update Friday on the Coast Guard's response to the fires in Lahaina.
Residents of the historic town of Lahaina were allowed back home Friday for the first time since the wildfires turned large swaths of the town to rubble.
At least 55 people have been killed so far by the fires, according to officials. However, Hawaii Gov. Josh Green has warned that number will likely rise as search and rescue efforts continue.
