Matty McLean has announced he is leaving the Breakfast show and TVNZ in December, moving to a "wonderful new job".

McLean has been with the network since 2007, working on Breakfast, 1News, 20/20 and Seven Sharp.

For the past seven years, he's been a host on Breakfast, where he announced the news.
