Fans of renowned mime artist, Marcel Marceau have marked 100 years since his birth in France.
Marceau was inspired by the silent actor, Charlie Chaplin.
He performed around the world, sometimes more than 300 shows a year.
Marceau died in 2007, aged 84, after a decades-long career in which he revived public interest in an art that can turn silence into poetry.
Al Jazeera’s Natacha Butler reports from Paris.
