Birth trauma: Over 1,000 women share evidence from traumatic birth for inquiry

The Birth Trauma Inquiry has called for a national plan to improve maternity care, after speaking to 1,300 women and finding “shockingly poor quality” in how care services look after women giving birth.

Health Secretary Victoria Atkins has been unable to guarantee there will be no further scandals in maternity care after admitting the NHS is in a "period of transition".
