At least three people have been killed in severe flooding in Malaysia.
It has left more than 30,000 sheltering in relief centres after thousands of homes were inundated across six states.
The heavy monsoon rain also destroyed crops.
The floods, caused by the northeast monsoon, which usually runs from November to February are an annual occurrence, although their severity varies from year to year.

Al Jazeera’s Florence Looi reports from Johor state, Malaysia.
