Dozens were evacuated from various parts of the U.K. on Thursday after Storm Christoph brought heavy rains, leaving some towns underwater.
The rains began earlier this week and prompted flood warnings across England and Wales as the weather continued to develop, with the Met Office saying flooding was expected to worsen.

U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson visited flood-hit Didsbury in northwest England to see the impact and thanked emergency responders and members of the Environment Agency for their preparations and efforts to evacuate locals. He also stressed people need to follow the advice from the agency as more rain was still to come.

More than 200 flood warnings have been put in place, six of them severe weather alerts for rain and snow.
