Labour leader says he will resign if fined over 'beergate'

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has said that he would do "the right thing and step down", if the police issue him with a fixed penalty notice for his 'beer and curry in Durham' during the pandemic.

He has denied breaking the rules, but the announcement amounts to a considerable political gamble.
