Further divisions in the Labour Party are likely to surface with the government having to make "difficult decisions" around taxation and public spending, a senior Conservative has told Sky News.

Yesterday, Sir Keir Starmer suspended seven Labour MPs for rebelling over the two-child benefit cap.

Speaking to Sky's Kay Burley, shadow education secretary Damian Hinds said Labour won't be able "dodge" questions around public spending and taxation "forever".

He also spoke about Labour's plans around private school tuition fees and how they would tackle immigration after announcing the Bibi Stockholm contract would not be renewed.
