Labour's Shadow Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson has told Sky News that if Labour get into power at the next election, the party cannot guarantee councils will be given more funding.

It follows numerous councils declaring bankruptcy and over 40 Tory MPs writing to Rishi Sunak demanding more cash for councils to avoid cuts to crucial frontline services.
