Sweden and Finland both say they want to abandon decades of neutrality to join the NATO military alliance. The decision comes at a crucial moment in the war in Ukraine.

In view of Russia’s brutal onslaught on that city, it’s no wonder that Sweden and Finland are seeking fast-track membership of NATO.
