Matthew Searle, the chief executive of a missing persons charity helping the family of Jay Slater, says he plans to talk to the home secretary about how to deal with amateur detectives.

Mr Searle says online comments and speculation about what happened to Jay were the worst he had seen in more than 20 years in the job.
