Israel-Hamas war: UN secretary-general calls for 'a humanitarian ceasefire now'

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has said Gaza is becoming "a graveyard for children" and that protection of civilians is "paramount" in the conflict.

Mr Guterres has said clear violations of international humanitarian law were being committed, as he appealed for a humanitarian ceasefire.
