ISIL leader killed in US raid in Syria, Biden says

The United States says the leader of ISIL (ISIS) has been killed in an operation by special forces in northwest Syria.
Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi was one of at least 13 people, including six children, who died during the raid in the town of Atmeh, in rebel-held Idlib province.
It was the biggest US raid there since an attack in 2019 that killed the previous leader of ISIL.
