With the current economic uncertainty in Canada, some are feeling unsure about whether now is the good time to invest — and a new survey from Edward Jones Canada finds Canadians are split on that decision.

Some say they are motivated to invest due to long and short-term goals like saving for retirement or taking advantage of investments such as RRSPs. While others say they're waiting to see if the current uncertainty in the economy improves, and prefer to pay down debt in the meantime.

As Sean Previl reports, there are things Canadians can do when deciding whether to invest — but in the end, it's up to each individual to assess their own personal risks.
