International Women's Day 2023: Sophie Grégoire Trudeau shines a light on gender inequality

Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, the wife of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, stopped by Global's "The Morning Show" to talk about the issues facing women and girls around the world.

Trudeau discussed her involvement with Plan Canada and the Canadian Mental Health Association, and how we can empower the next generation of women and girls in Canada.

"Boys education is prioritized in so many regions of the world, because they are seen as the main earners while girls and women are kept at home to take care of household chores and other members of the family," Trudeau told The Morning Show.
