India's prime minister was the guest of honour at France's Bastille Day celebrations on Friday.
French President Emmanuel Macron awarded Prime Minister Narendra Modi the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour, the country's top order of merit.
And the two held talks to further strengthen ties.
