Higher grocery bill? Here’s why some prices in Canada may be rising — again

In just the past few years, Canadians heading to the grocery store have not always had a pleasant experience with ongoing food inflation, leaving many walking away with an expensive bill.

While food inflation is cooling, meaning some decreases, Metro's CEO warned recently that an industry-wide blackout period on price increases has ended — bringing an end to a price freeze that has lasted since about November.
