Harjit Sajjan defends role in rescuing vulnerable Afghans in wake of allegations

Liberal cabinet minister Harjit Sajjan is defending himself against allegations made in a Globe and Mail report, which says the former defence minister instructed special forces to rescue Afghan Sikhs in Kabul in 2021. Sajjan said evacuating vulnerable Afghans — including religious minorities — was part of approved government policy and that he wouldn’t be getting questions about it if he wasn't wearing a turban.
