On Groundhog Day, Punxsutawney Phil predicted six more weeks of winter after he saw his shadow Wednesday morning at Gobbler's Knob in Punxsutawney, Pa.

People from all over the world crowded into the small U.S. town to get a look at the Groundhog Day tradition.

After the announcement, the crowd chanted: "Six more weeks!"

Since 1887, town leaders have pulled the furry rodent from his den, conferred with him, and announced his prediction.

This is the 136th year of the event.
