Grant Shapps 'pleased' to do planned interview after ending call live on air

Grant Shapps has responded to the moment when he phoned Sky's Sam Coates while he was live on air and then hung up after told a YouGov poll predicts he would lose his seat.

The Defence Secretary told Sophy Ridge on Politics Hub: "I hadn't realised Sky had turned into a Michael Mcintyre big show" but that he was "pleased" to come onto Sophy's show anyway to do the planned interview.

In response to the poll's prediction, he said: "I always accept my seat is at risk" but he "wouldn't rely on opinion polls".
