When the government learned a Conservative MP and his family were allegedly targeted by the Chinese government, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called for CSIS to share more information with the feds about any threats against MPs in the future. Mackenzie Gray has more.

Russia is accusing Ukraine of trying to assassinate Russian President Vladimir Putin. Moscow says it downed two drones over the Kremlin overnight, while Ukraine denies the claim and warns Russia may be preparing to launch a large-scale “terrorist” attack in retaliation. Eric Sorensen reports.

In Quebec, police believe two bodies recovered on Wednesday are likely of two missing volunteer firefighters. The pair was swept away by floodwaters during a rescue on Monday, as the region has been devastated by heavy rain and floods this week, damaging critical infrastructure and forcing hundreds of people from their homes.
