World leaders say it’s evidence of war crimes and crimes against humanity: civilians were seemingly found bound and executed. Ukraine’s foreign affairs minister calls it a deliberate massacre, saying that Russia is trying to “eliminate as many Ukrainians as they can.” The horrific scene is drawing broad worldwide condemnation.

The shocking images are being shared as Russian forces retreat from regions around Ukraine’s capital, refocusing assaults on southern and eastern Ukraine. Abigail Bimman has more.

As Ukrainian military forces reclaim the region around Kyiv, American leaders are calling it a devastating strategic setback for Russia - but the Biden administration warns Russian forces might simply be regrouping. The U.S. is pledging more firepower for Ukraine which includes getting Soviet-made tanks into the country. Jennifer Johnson reports.

Frustration is growing in China’s largest city of Shanghai, where residents are living under a sweeping COVID-19 lockdown. Cases are rising here in Canada as well, but as Heather Yourex-West shows us, the sixth wave here isn’t likely to see broad public health restrictions re-imposed.

Researchers at the University of British Columbia have been able to successfully 3D print male reproductive cells. In a pair of world-firsts, the team of researchers led by Dr. Ryan Flannigan, a UBC urology assistant professor, used a 3D printer to create viable testicular cells and identified early signs of sperm-producing capabilities. Jamie Mauracher reports.
