Although the war in Ukraine continues to intensify, the country's National Security Chief Oleksiy Danilov believes Russian forces can still be defeated in spite of the overwhelming odds. Crystal Goomansingh speaks with Danilov in Kyiv on what's fuelling his optimism, his bewilderment over Russia's role on the world stage, and the foreign aid that could help his country turn the tide.

Danilov's remarks come as 40 western allies gathered in Germany to discuss sending more aid to war-torn Ukraine. And captivating music fans since 1956 and garnering more views than the Super Bowl, the annual Eurovision Song Contest will soon kick off once again, with performers from around the world belting it out to take the top prize. But as Redmond Shannon reports, there are now plans to bring the beloved and often outlandish competition across the pond, for a Canadian remix.
