The family of 22-year-old Gabby Petito spoke at a press conference in Bohemia, N.Y. on Tuesday, following the ruling officials made that she died by homicide according to the Teton County coroner.

Here, they announced the creation of the Gabby Petito Foundation, which will potentially aid in helping missing persons cases. The organization's purpose hasn't been fully solidified just yet.

Petito was reported missing after her fiancée Brian Laundrie returned home from a months-long cross-country trip without her on Sept. 1. Laundrie, 23, has been named a "person of interest" in the case, but his whereabouts in recent days were unknown.

Reality TV star Dog the Bounty Hunter, whose real name is Duane Chapman, has also joined the search for Laundrie after his fans started reaching out to him to help.
