Over a million tonnes of contaminated water has been stored away in tanks outside the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant in Japan. And officials are worried they’ll run out of storage space for the radioactive water very soon. Plant officials could build more storage and earthquake proof containers, but Japanese officials seem to be leaning towards filtering the contaminated water and dumping it into the nearby sea.
