Japan's decision to release more than a million tonnes of contaminated water into the sea from its ruined Fukushima nuclear plant has been met with criticism by China, South Korea, and environmental protection groups.
Supporters of the plan insist this kind of water release is common practice in the nuclear industry and that there is only a minimal risk to health.
