The death of a Canadian woman in Mexico is now under investigation and her friends and family are demanding justice.
Val Vardabasso, 58, originally from British Columbia and now living in Puerto Peñasco, just south of the border with Arizona, is believed to have been killed in her home.
Friends and family of Vardabasso tell Global News they have no idea why anyone would want to harm her. “She was the most warm person, like an Earth angel,” said Leanna Byrd, a friend for 45 years.
As Global News’ Catherine Urquhart reports, those close to Vardabasso are now demanding answers.
