French President Emmanuel Macron is scaling up his government's coronavirus vaccination campaign to combat a situation ministers have described as critical.
COVID-19 infection rates are rising across the country and the government has put in place new strict measures to combat its spread.
The government is mobilising more health workers and opening mass-vaccination centres for the first time after a slow start.
