Teresa Whitecap, the grandmother of five-year-old Frank Young, spoke Tuesday about the disappearance of the child, saying their "circle was broken."

She said while Young had left them, at the same time the circle was "complete" again after a newborn baby was born shortly after the five-year-old's disappearance. However, she said they were so hopeful Young would join them and be found, and emotionally said the family was heartbroken.

Carrot River RCMP Sgt. Richard Tong provided more details about the discovery the five-year-old boy found this weekend in Red Earth Cree Nation after being missing since April. He said there was "no indication of suspicious circumstances" at this time, but said an investigation was taking place.

Red Earth Cree First Nation Chief Fabian Head spoke about the search that had been ongoing and the barriers they at times encountered, including high water levels. He also thanked those who helped with the search.

"These 81 days have brought so many people together, these 81 days have brought many families together, have brought many communities together," he said, thanking for the amount of resources received.
