Former defence secretary Liam Fox has said that people have moved on from Rishi Sunak's D-Day mistake, but the media are still talking about it.

He says the election needs to focus on the "big issues", including the fact that "we are in a crisis".

Mr Fox added: "These are the serious issues. This is not a cartoon election, it is a real dangerous world we live in and the public want us to deal with the real issues."
