भारत जी20 (G20 Summit) की मेजबानी कर रहा है। 9 और 10 सितंबर को राजधानी दिल्ली में जी20 सम्मलेन का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। अमेरिका, फ्रांस, ब्रिटेन समेत जी20 के तमाम राष्ट्राध्यक्ष भारत पहुंच रहे हैं, लेकिन दो प्रमुख देश चीन और रूस ने इससे दूरी बनाई है। चीन के राष्ट्रपति शी जिनपिंग और रूस के राष्ट्रपति व्लादिमीर पुतिन दोनों ही इस जी 20 सम्मेलन से नदारद रहने वाले हैं। रूस के राष्ट्रपति पुतिन ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को फोन कर न आने की वजह बताई और कहा कि उनकी ओर से रूस का प्रतिनिधित्व उनके विदेश मंत्री करेंगे। वहीं चीन के राष्ट्रपति शी जिनपिंग की जगह उनके प्रधानमंत्री ली क्यांग जी 20 समिट में हिस्सा लेंगे।
