Ontario Premier Doug Ford has been facing mounting pressure to release his phone records, after it emerged that he had been using his personal cell phone for governmental purposes.

Meanwhile, cabinet ministers within the Ford government's upper ranks are also reportedly not using government-issued phones.

“We're seeing a pattern here. Ministers who know perfectly well that they're supposed to conduct government business on government devices choosing to use, I would assume, personal devices,” says NDP Leader Marit Stiles.

Global News has been in a months-long battle for transparency over Premier Doug Ford's personal cell phone records.

The government has refused to make the records public, leading to questions about who can contact the Premier.

Global News' Colin D'Mello reports.
