Food Shortage: Farmers 'can't bear' extra costs

Severe weather and rising prices have pushed businesses to scale back on growing vegetable crops because farmers "can't bear that extra cost and just can't take that risk."

Supermarkets have been prompted to ration purchases of items including tomatoes and cucumbers, with warnings of further food shortages to come.
