Canadians are facing another rising cost this holiday season as Canada Post joins major couriers in adjusting fuel surcharges weekly.

The Crown corporation's fluctuating fuel surcharges are based on the average price of diesel across the country and apply to domestic and international parcel shipping.

Since September, Canada Post has been modifying its fuel surcharges weekly up or down as fuel prices change. Now, sending a package through Canada Post or through courier services is going to cost extra, something many Canadians are already discovering.
