Florida National Guard heading to DC to help with inauguration week security

Several hundred members of the Florida National Guard left Orlando on Friday to help provide security in Washington DC during the week of the presidential inauguration.

The group of guardsmen could be seen leaving in several charter buses, with the troops being just some of the up to 21,000 National Guard troops authorised by the Department of Defense to assist law enforcement in operations supporting the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden on January 20.
