There are reports of heavy fighting between the Army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces in Sudan.
The RSF say they have downed a fighter jet over Omdurman.
Sporadic gunfights and airstrikes are taking place in the capital, Khartoum.
At least 1,000 people have been killed since April, and more than two million forced from their homes.
Sudan's Civil Aviation Authority has extended the closure of the airspace to all air traffic until July 10, with the exception of humanitarian aid flights.

Al Jazeera’s Hiba Morgan joins us now live from Omdurman, near Khartoum for the latest updates.
