Europe Heatwave: Temperatures set to hit 46 degree Celsius in Italy

In Italy, a number of cities are on red alert for extreme heat. Rome hit a high of 35C (95F) on Saturday and could see temperatures as high as 42C (107.6F) - while other Italian cities could be even hotter.

Sky News' climate change correspondent Hannah Thomas-Peter is in Sardinia where reports suggest temperatures could reach up to 46C today or tomorrow, close to the European record of 48.8C.
