Italy and France issued hot weather red alerts after a new heatwave hit Europe this week. Residents sweltered as temperatures were expected to peak around 38 Degrees Celsius. In Lyon, France recorded a temperature of 27 Degrees Celsius early on Tuesday morning.
Guilhelm Zermini, a local resident said, "in the future we can expect two full months of heat."
