Environment czar says Canada not ready to support clean energy transition

The federal government has long made promises to transition much of Canada to cleaner energy, but Environment and Sustainable Development Commissioner Jerry DeMarco says it's not ready for a drastic move.

The environmental watchdog says the government is being impractical about reducing emissions and that it's likely impossible for the government to reach its emissions targets over the next eight years.
