E Jean Carroll leaves court after being awarded $83.3m in defamation case against Donald Trump

Donald Trump has been ordered to pay $83.3m in a defamation case to a woman who accused him of sexual assault - with the former US president saying her allegation was a lie. A jury found Trump liable last year of sexually abusing Ms Carroll in a Bergdorf Goodman department store in New York in the mid-1990s and defaming her after she wrote about the incident
