Donald Trump's legal spokesperson Alina Habba has been speaking to reporters as the former President entered the courtroom to answer criminal charges.

Ms Habba said that his treatment was beyond a "witch hunt", bringing up numerous tropes previously repeated by Mr Trump himself in person and on social media.
