Bangladesh has been hit by one of its worst Dengue outbreaks in years. More than 300 people have died as a result. The disease is primarily transmitted through mosquitos and in Bangladesh, August and September count as peak season. However, this season has lately extended to November, partly due to warming temperatures caused by climate change. The number of dengue infections has soared, especially in the capital, Dhaka. Hospitals are overwhelmed by the outbreak.
