Ontario-based BTNX received a significant federal contract to supply COVID-19 rapid tests at the beginning of the pandemic.

While it received billions of dollars and is a Canadian company, its supply chains stretched far beyond Canada's borders.

And as Jeff Semple reports, other Canadian companies that answered the plea to produce pandemic products are collapsing.
