A nationwide lockdown has gone into effect in Austria for people who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19.
They can now only leave their home for essential activities including shopping, medical visits or to get vaccinated.
Only about 65 percent of the population has been inoculated - which is below the European Union average.
Al Jazeera's Dominic Kane reports from Berlin.
